The standard Knikmops or Rollmops from Gebroeders Geens is corn yellow. But you also have the option of getting your Knikmops or Rollmops in a different colour, completely according to your wishes. For example, you can have your articulated loader painted in your company colours, or just a colour that you like. This gives your new wheel loader a personal look. All colours are possible, but to be sure that we are talking about the same colour, RAL codes are the most convenient. The painting process at Gebroeders Geens
The process of applying the colour is done carefully. A Knikmops chassis is made of 100% high-quality steel. We process this steel in such a way that the paint adheres well. We start by blasting the steel parts which later form the chassis. This makes the steel rougher. This allows us to work on an even surface and the paint adheres as well as possible to the steel of the chassis. Once the Knikmops chassis is assembled, we apply a primer coat. This provides a good base and protection for the paint.
A Knikmops is used every day in outdoor work, so it is extremely important that the paint stays in place. Moreover, a Knikmops lasts a long time, and it must continue to look good. A durable appearance is partly achieved by a high-quality lacquer coat. And this is what Gebroeders Geens is committed to.
Knikmops gets colour
Once all the steps of the preparatory work are complete, we can give the Knikmops the desired colour. Wet paint is applied in two coats. We do this so that the colour stays in place better and does not show wear quickly. Two coats of paint also ensure a nice, even result, so that your shovel looks good and is well protected. As an extra addition, you can also opt for a clear coat. This gives your articulated loader a matt appearance instead of a high gloss. This extra coat ensures an even better paint condition over the years. This is a good choice if you want to enjoy your personalized articulated loader even longer. See the example on the right.
Striking: Knikmops in Orange and Green (RAL 2005/ RAL 6029)
A special project we recently carried out was for a customer from the Netherlands. We normally deliver our Knikmops in yellow with grey brackets. This customer wanted something different. Their company colours are orange and green, so they chose these colours for their compact wheel loaders. The upper part of the articulated loader became orange and the lower part green. This ended in a striking Knikmops KM140E electric, with a green body and orange brackets. It was something completely different from what we normally deliver, but it made the machine very unique! And as you can see, you can even choose a different colour for your wheels! Another nice assignment was for one of our customers from Austria. He wanted his articulated loader in grey. This was of course also possible. (RAL 6006)
Rollmops gets colour
People who purchase a Rollmops can also choose the colour of their stone transport machine. This way it fits nicely into their fleet. A Rollmops in company colour makes working even more fun.
