First step for Gebroeders Geens' international ambitions

Gebroeders Geens, the family business behind the well-known Knikmops & Rollmops, is proud to announce the start of construction work on a brand-new production hall. This investment marks the first phase of an ambitious expansion which will prepare the company for the future. The focus here is on international growth, increased production capacity and guaranteed quality.

 

The new hall will be equipped with an assembly line and a powder coating plant. These facilities will increase the efficiency of the production process and further guarantee the quality of Knikmops and Rollmops.

First step in a bigger plan

The construction of the production hall is step 1 of a phased expansion. In later phases, additional warehouse space and new office space will be added. These expansions are necessary to support internal processes, to accommodate the growth of the workforce and to achieve further professionalization. A new modern production hall will also improve the working environment for employees. The plans also include adaptations to the existing production environment, which will remain operational during the works.

Internationalization as a driving force

Today, Gebroeders Geens produces between 800-900 machines per year. With the planned expansions, the family business wants to gradually increase this capacity to 2000 machines per year. This doubling is essential to achieve their ambition of internationalization.

Knikmops & Rollmops have been an established name in Belgium and the Netherlands for decades. In the meantime, the brands have continued to grow in France, Germany, Poland, Denmark and the US. Meanwhile, demand for the Belgian articulated loaders and transport machines is growing in other markets and countries. This calls for a flexible and high-quality response from Gebroeders Geens. A first step is this investment in new infrastructure and capacity. In this way, the Belgian production company will strengthen its role as an innovative partner for outdoor work internationally.

Although Gebroeders Geens has clear international ambitions, the family character of the company remains central. The expansion is not only an investment in buildings and production machines, but also in people.
