From now on, the distributor in the Netherlands can easily register a new Knikmops without the need for the articulated loader to be inspected.

The Knikmops customer can now rest assured if he wants to drive his new Knikmops on the road in the Netherlands. Gebroeders Geens and the distributors in the Netherlands guarantee the correct fulfilment of the RDW requirements. There is no need for an individual inspection of the Knikmops. What are the advantages for you as a Knikmops user?
- Your articulated loader is legally compliant: A type approval means that the Knikmops complies with Dutch regulations. This may be necessary for the use of your articulated loader on public roads and without any administrative hassle for you.
- Your articulated loader is easier to register: An articulated loader with a type approval can be registered more easily with the RDW. This process is necessary to get license plates for your wheel loader in the Netherlands. As a manufacturer, Gebroeders Geens provides the distributor with the correct documentation. Your local dealer in the Netherlands will take care of registration with RDW, so that you get license plates as soon as you pick up your new Knikmops.
- Your articulated loader can be insured more easily: Some insurers require a type approval before covering a vehicle. A Knikmops with type approval can make it easier to get suitable insurance.

Knikmops as a tow vehicle
Do you also want to use your articulated loader as a tow vehicle? That is possible with Knikmops. The Belgian loader has also been approved as a tow vehicle for Dutch public roads. No more worries for later testing. When you buy your new Knikmops, you can simply order the towbar (adjustable or fixed).
Knikmops type approval
Gebroeders Geens has obtained type approval for the (diesel) Knikmops range. For this, the production company went through a lengthy procedure at RDW. This took place in two major steps:
Step 1: Gebroeders Geens quality policy
First of all, RDW asks for an active quality management system of the manufacturer or importer. For RDW, it is crucial that the quality policy is anchored in the organisation. After all, they want to be sure that the company in question does everything in its power to build the wheel loader completely according to the applicable standards. And in this way, the manufacturer guarantees that every day, they are working to bring a quality product to the market and take responsibility for any changes, defects, etc.
Step 2: Certificate for Knikmops
Then a thorough multi-day inspection process by RDW takes place. So Gebroeders Geens have equipped all their Knikmops types with road lighting, plate holder, etc. In this phase, it is checked whether the wheel loader can be put on the road in the Netherlands. For example, they test the brake action, the light setting, etc. When this step is fully completed, the manufacturer gets a certificate.
